We restore historic buildings in central Lisbon into a small number of residences.
Sete Pedras was founded by Petras Sveikata and is part of Sveikata Capital.
Our story began when we were looking for a family home of our own in Lisbon. We found very few residences with real quality and thoughtful design, so we decided to build them ourselves.
Lisbon is a city of seven hills, built of stone.
Lisbon is the city of seven hills, and it is made of stone: lioz staircases and door surrounds, marble thresholds, tiled façades and the black-and-white calçada underfoot.
“Sete Pedras” means seven stones. It is a reminder of what we work with, and of what we want to leave behind: buildings that will still be standing, and still be loved, a century from now.
We keep what cannot be made again.
We keep what cannot be made again: stair cores, cantaria, ceilings, tiles, timber doors and shutters. Demolition is a last resort.
Where we rebuild, we use real stone, oak, lime and brass, sourced in Portugal where we can. We name them and show them as they are.
